Malawi Police Women Network Donates Food And Non-Food Items Worth K2 Million To Flood Victims

The Malawi Police Women Network has donated food and non-food items worth K2 Million, to flood survivors living at Kanseche Camp in Chikwawa.

The beneficiaries are from flood-prone areas around Matsukambiya and Kanseche; both in T/A Lundu; and Chikuse Village in T/A Makhuwira.

One of the beneficiaries Margaret Ephraim has told us the donation will mitigate hunger problems at the camp.

Malawi Police Women Network Chairperson Jessie Nyirongo said the money is a contribution from Women Officers from across Malawi.

In the picture, the Commissioner of Police for South Eastern Region Chikondi Chingadza is presenting a donation to Chisomo, a baby who was born under a tree when her mother escaped floods.
