Malawi Congress Party (MCP) vice president Harry Mkandawire has directed the party’s regional chairmen to start identifying candidates to represent it in new constituencies, as established by Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec).
Mkandawire said this at a rally in Rumphi, adding a search for candidates at the eleventh hour creates panic during campaign time.
He then asked regional chairmen to provide an equal platform to all aspirants, while respecting democratic principles and the party’s four cornerstones of Unity, Discipline, Obedience and Loyalty.
