Muluzi Given 7 Days To Come Clear Whether He Will Contest Or Not

Immediate past United Democratic Front president Atupele Muluzi has not come out clearly on whether he will contest for presidency or not during the party’s convention.

Speaking at Nyambadwe Ground in Blantyre during a 30th anniversary celebration rally, Muluzi simply said he will ensure that the party is strong.

“Ntchito yanga ndi kutumikira inu komanso kuonesetsa kuti mukukhala mwa mtendere,” Muluzi said.

Last week some party members marched to Muluzi’s residence in Nyambadwe where they asked him to stand during the elective convention.

The members gave him seven days to make a decision on the matter.
