Mwanamvekha Consoles Jappie Mhango Following Death of Mother

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Joseph Mwanamvekha has expressed his condolences to Minister of Transport and Public Works Jappie Mhango following the death of his mother, Mama Kestina Nyirongo.

Mwanamvekha conveyed the condolences on behalf of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), describing the death of Mama Nyirongo as a painful loss to the Mhango family and all those who knew her.

In his eulogy, Mwanamvekha said Mama Nyirongo was a fountain of wisdom whose life and contribution to her family left a lasting legacy.

He said her passing has created a significant void in the Mhango family, extending his sympathies to Minister Mhango and other bereaved family members during the difficult period of mourning.

Mwanamvekha also paid tribute to Mhango, describing him as a hardworking public servant who has continued to serve the country in various capacities.

He noted that Mhango wears several hats, both in public administration and sports administration, where he has also made contributions.

According to Mwanamvekha, President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has confidence in Mhango’s abilities and values his contribution to government and national development.

The Finance Minister said the DPP stands with Mhango and his family as they mourn the loss of their mother, urging the bereaved family to find strength and comfort during the period of grief.

The death of Mama Nyirongo comes as a moment of mourning for the Mhango family, with condolences being extended to the Minister and his relatives from political colleagues, public servants and other well-wishers.

Mwanamvekha said Mama Nyirongo’s legacy of wisdom and guidance would remain an important part of the family she leaves behind.

The DPP has joined the Mhango family in mourning, wishing them strength and comfort as they go through the bereavement.
