Admarc not aware of the plans to sell Maize to Zimbabwe.

Update: In a dramatic twist of events, the management of Admarc says it is not aware of the plans by Admarc to sell Maize to Zimbabwe.

This is after a recent revelation that Admarc is planning to sell 100,000 metric tons of Maize to Zimbabwe.

According to Alexander Kusamba Dzodzi, Admarc wants to sell the Maize to clear space and save on storage costs.

But Acting Admarc General Manager Jerome Nkhoma has told the parliamentary Committee on agriculture that he has not yet been briefed on the plans.

Meanwhile, Admarc’s Head of Operations has told the Committee that Admarc has only 46 000 metric tons which is not committed anywhere while the rest belong to the Banks.

Responding, Kusamba Dzodzi, says the issue was left to the suspended General Manager Rhino Chiphiko to communicate to the rest of the Management team.

This comes amid allegations that it is the Board’s decision to sell the Maize to Zimbabwe.

The Agriculture committee of Parliament is meeting Admarc on the sale of the Maize plans, suspension of the General Manager Rhino Chiphiko and the status of Admarc currently
