JUDGE HANDS 5 LIFE SENTENCES IN MACDONALD MASAMBUKA CASE

Supreme Court of Appeal Judge, Dorothy NyaKaunda Kamanga, sitting at the Blantyre High court has sentenced five people to life imprisonment with hard labour after she earlier convicted them of murdering MacDonald Masambuka, a young man with albinism from Machinga in March 2018.

The five are Matchina Sosola, Alfred Yohane, Dickinson Manesi Ndengu, Bashir Lilongwe and the deceased biological brother, Kassim Masambuka.

NyaKawunda Kamanga is delivering her sentence on the 12 people who were convicted of seven different counts in relation to the murder of Masambuka.

She has so far labelled Kassim Masambuka as “Judas Iscariot” for betraying his biological young brother who was later killed in his presence.

She has also sentenced four more to 60 years imprisonment with hard labour after being convicted of causing someone to commit a crime against a person with a disability.

The four are Master Injesi, Lumbani Kamanga, Lacknes Magombo and the deceased biological brother, Kassim Masambuka.
