Lawyer Alexious Kamangira has filed an application at the high court in Blantyre for bail pending review of an eight-year-custodial-sentence which was passed to Mussa John by the senior resident magistrate in Limbe.
In the past many influential people have been given bail whilst awaiting for case reviews

John was charged on a different charge sheet and convicted using a wrong legislation than the one he was charged for
If granted, this will be the “first known” bail pending review for someone without influence.
