Democratic Progressive Party-DPP Vice President for Eastern Region Bright Msaka has asked the party’s district council chairpersons for the region to invest more energy on developmental agendas.
He made the call in Machinga after the party’s Lisanjala Ward Councillor Richard Matenje was on Tuesday elected as the district council chairperson.
Msaka says the party’s pillar is development hence the need for the councilors to prioritize developing their respective districts.
“This is our culture as DPP and we believe in developments so I urge these councillors to go for developments not just politics in the offices,” adds Msaka.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Machinga Council Chairperson vows to prioritize developing the district.
“It has been my wish to help this district grow economically and in other aspects of developments. With the role I have been given, I believe it is my best time to do what is the best for Machinga, assures Matenje.
