Castel Malawi has this afternoon announced a K16 million sponsorship towards this year’s Sand Music Festival.
The amount has been doubled from the K8 million the company pumped into the event last year.
Unveiling the sponsorship at their headquarters in Blantyre, the company’s head of national sales Nelson Banda said they believe in the cause and the spirit of the event as a tourism driver.
He said: “For us as a company this is a big thing. We appreciate the many opportunities that it creates and we are always excited to be associated with such a story. “
Impakt Events Management, organisers of the festival, through its director Lucius Banda said the support corresponds well with their ambition of making Sand Music Festival a regional event.
“Castel Malawi has been with us throughout the 12 years. Their consistency has been amazing. We hope they continue to walk with us all the way, “said Banda.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place at Kambiri Beach Resort in Salima from September 30 to October 1.
Two weeks ago Impakt Events also received a support of K15 million from FDH Bank plc
