Police in Lilongwe have recovered some of the stolen items during the aborted Thursday protests in the city.
Police Publicist for Lilongwe Hastings Chigaru said they have just started the operation and expected to recover more property by next week.
“We urge the public to come forth with more information regarding the stolen items,” said Chigaru.

Some of the recovered items include a motorcycle, iron sheets and a meat slicer machine.
Police have since arrested 76 people in connection with the looting after the cancellation of the demonstrations following an injunction that was obtained earlier on Wednesday.
