Mayors Trophy On At Mzuzu Stadium

Games are underway in the Mayor’s trophy at Mzuzu stadium where primary schools are competing for various prizes.

The mayor’s trophy tournament started in March 2020 but was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

58 primary schools in Mzuzu City are participating in the tournament.

Today St Peter’s Primary School is facing Chibavi Primary school in a football game while Lupaso Primary School is playing Chibavi Primary School in a netball game.

Mayor for Mzuzu City Desire Nyirenda, District Educational Sports Officer McNelbert Kazuwa,FDH bank officials and some sports officials are in attendance.

FDH bank are the official sponsors of the tournament to a tune of 165 million Kwacha in all 4 cities of Malawi
