The National planning Commission – NPC has named President Lazarus Chakwera as Overall Champion on the list of people that are making strides in making sure the Malawi 2063 becomes a success.
This has been announced at the launch of Malawi 2063 Champions recognition Programme where First Group of the Champions was announced.
NPC also recognized inter-generational development efforts by former Presidents, Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Bakili Muluzi, Bingu wa Mutharika, Peter Mutharika and Joyce Banda.
Also recognized are; Chief Justice Rizine Mzikamanda, Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara, Vice President Saulos Chilima, Musician Lulu, Piksy and social media influencer Pemphero Mphande.
Other individuals from the Agriculture sector, Human resources sector, Business, Politicians and Traditional leaders have also been recognized.
