The Electricity Generation Company (Egenco) has accused Escom of paying itself first money realised from selling electricity before paying Egenco and Independent Power Producers (IPP) as it supposed to be done with the coming in of the single buyer.

Addressing a joint committee of parliament this afternoon, Egenco Deputy Director of Finance Delano Ulanje has raised fears that the anomaly by Escom has a possibility of scaring would be investors in the energy sector.
