Police have refuted social media reports that they have released musician-cum-policitian, Fredokiss-born-Penjani Kalua without any charge.
National Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya says they still have him in cell at the Blantyre Police Station as they continue with their investigations.
He tells us they will take him to court once they are done with the investigations.
Police arrested Kalua yesterday, Friday over what it called Financial Crimes. But Kalaya is still not disclosing what specific financial crime Kalua has committed.
Meanwhile, politician and UTM’s publicist, Frank Mwenifumbo says abitrary arrests are associated with the dark days of the one party regime which Malawians rejected in 1993.
