As part of preparations for commemorations marking 70 years of existence, Dedza CCAP says it is soliciting over 4 million Kwacha to help in the activities marking the day.
Resident Minister Reverend Dr Chatha Msangaambe reveals the church is currently selling a chitenje cloth to assist mobilize funds for the event which will be held from 14 to 16 October 2022.
He was speaking on Saturday when he addressed the media; adding the church is engaging President Lazarus Chakwera to grace the occasion.
The church, established in 1952 with 200 members, has grown to an over 5,000 membership capacity and has produced 21 branches in the district.
It was originated from Mphunzi Mission, and according to Msangaambe, the church has among other factors contributed to education development of Dedza district as it has a Girls Secondary School and a Co-Primary School, both operating under the church.
