Former president of the republic of Malawi HE. Dr. BAKILI MULUZI has contributed ‘K5 MILLION’ towards Chiwanja Cha Ayao annual festival.
Muluzi, who is also the patron of Chi Wanja Cha a Yao made a contribution through a fundraising secretary Smith_Kamwana.
Reacting to the development, the chairman of the grouping Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Kennedy Yassin expressed joy for the former Malawi leader’s generous gesture.

“This is a 3rd time for the former president to contribute towards Chiwanja Cha Ayao.
At first he contributed K500 000 for the food in Liwonde and secondly he gave us K200 000 for the food in Mangochi.
Chiwanja Cha Ayao is more delighted and grateful for what the former head of state is doing. Thank You very much.

This year’s Chiwanja Cha Ayao festival will take place on 22nd/10/2022 at Mangochi Stadium.
HE. the president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has been invited as the guest honour.
Former president HE. Dr. Joyce Banda who is also a Yao by tribe is also expected to attend.
