K Motors , a vehicle repair company, says the company is proud to make a contribution in promoting quality health care in the country.
Managing director for the company Mansoor Karim made the remarks when they delivered an ambulance repaired free of charge for Mwanza District Hospital. The company, according to Karim, spent close to K7 million to fully recondition the vehicle.
“The communities that these ambulances serve is where we draw our clients from. By helping these hospitals we are indirectly serving our clientele too,” he said.
Director of health and social services for Mwanza District Dr Samuel Simbi said the assistance from K Motors will help in reducing deaths influenced by transport challenges.
Simbi said: “The catchment area we have to serve is huge. That requires adequate transport services. As a hospital we can’t do everything on our own and the assistance like the one we have received from K Motors, is always welcome.”
