The newly appointed board chairperson for the Northern Region Water Board has directed the utility body to channel all his sitting allowances to charitable organizations that are struggling to enhance Water and Sanitation activities in the north.
Frank Mwenifumbo said beneficiaries of his allowances should be those who are doing charity work and are failing to pay water bills among other challenges.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of the board Francis Munthali has confirmed receiving communication from his board chairperson saying what remains now is paperwork to formalise the arrangement.
