The Human Rights Consultative Committee (HRCC) says Malawians should practice patience and let the law take its course on issues concerning interdicted Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Martha Chizuma.
HRCC Chairperson, Robert Mkwezalamba said in an interview that it is normal for people holding public offices to be suspended when it is felt that they have broken the law and the ACB Boss is not exceptional.
The government on Wednesday interdicted Chizuma following a court case over a leaked audio clip that went viral last year.
The HRCC commended President Chakwera for living up to his word that he would appoint a new cabinet.
Mkwezalamba said what President Chakwera has done instils confidence in Malawians that their leader is a man of his word.
