Electricity Generation Company of Malawi (EGENCO) says it is deeply touched by the plight of those affected by floods and has since made a donation of various items worth K10 million.
Speaking during the presentation of the goods to the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) EGENCO CEO, William Liabunya, said they felt duty-bound to assist those in need.
DoDMA’s Deputy Director of Disaster Response, Fedison Chikuse, received the donation.

“We are grateful for the intervention, we are still receiving donations so that we can reach as many people as possible. The donation will go a long way in addressing needs in the camps,” said Chikuse.
The items donated include diapers, tissues, and soya pieces among others.
