Malawi Government has officially received two helicopters from the Government of Tanzanian to assist with the rescue operations of the Cyclone Freddy Survivors.
Receiving the helicopters at Kamuzu International Airport, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda commended the Tanzanian government for the kind gesture.
On his part, Tanzanian Ambassador to Malawi, Humphrey Hesron Polepole, said the Government of Tanzania is equally affected by the disaster which has befallen Malawi hence the support.

Apart from the helicopters, the Government of Tanzania has announced to support the government of Malawi with $1 million United States Dollars, 1000 tones of maize flour and other humanitarian resources.
