Nsanje Lalanje Member of Parliament Gladys Ganda has issued a public apology to former President and DPP leader Peter Mutharika, the DPP family.
Ganda’s apology comes after she made controversial statements on Monday, at a public gathering at Sorjin Nsanje, where she was speaking to President Lazarus Chakwera, which led to her removal as DPP’s director of elections.
In a statement, Ganda has expressed regret for her “careless” words, citing an intimidating environment as the reason for her actions. She unconditionally withdrew her previous statements and reaffirms her loyalty to the DPP, stating she would “remain and die a DPP member.”
Ganda congratulated, President Lazarus Chakwera for bringing electricity to her constituency and she also referred to Chakwera as “A Pulezidenti anga, bwana wanga, munthu opanda tsankho”.
