Hansi Flick saw his Barcelona team get back to winning ways on Tuesday with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Young Boys in the Champions League.
It was a strong performance from the Catalan giants, but Flick still saw room for improvement for his team after the game.
“We have to start the games a little stronger. Be more dynamic as a whole. The game has improved as the minutes have passed,” he told Movistar.
“Nobody knows how this new Champions League will work, but it’s always good to have a good goal difference.”
Raphinha picked up the MVP award after another impressive showing, but Flick felt his whole team deserved credit for the victory.
“Raphinha has played very well. We cannot just talk about one player. It is important to play as a team. Raphinha can only play well if his teammates do too.”
“With Pedri we wanted to give him a rest and with Frenkie we weren’t so sure about bringing him on earlier. That’s why Ansu came on in the middle at the beginning.”
“The players deserve the two days of rest they have now.”
Barca players will now get a bit of a rest before returning to work later this week to prepare for a trip to Alaves
