A Call to Destiny: Why Comrade Imraan Jumbe Seeks the People’s Mandate for Malawi’s Future
Fellow Malawians, Lend me your ears,
“The pot of our heritage should not be broken by careless hands.”
As we stand on the edge of a new chapter, our beloved nation faces a crossroad.
I, Comrade Imraan Jumbe, come before you with an unwavering desire to protect our democracy, restore our values, and ensure a future that honors our ancestors’ sacrifices.
I seek to lead this nation not to wield power, but to protect the voice of the people.”When a nation’s roots are strong, no storm can uproot it.”
Yet today, the winds of intimidation and fear swirl around us, threatening to weaken the foundation of freedom that men like Kamlepo Kaluwa fought so fiercely to establish.
Across our land, we see activists and those who dare to question the government facing harassment, imprisonment, and threats.
Our democracy is under siege, and every Malawian with a heart for freedom can feel it slipping away.”
If you want to know the road ahead, ask those who have traveled it before you.”
Our elders and leaders fought to deliver us from one-party rule, but once again, we see the shadows of autocracy taking form.
Just look around us. Bon Kalindo has been repeatedly imprisoned for simply raising his voice for the people.
Political foes are being silenced, they are locked up on mere whispers of hearsay, as though Malawi’s freedom were nothing more than a game.
I ask you, my fellow Malawians, “What good is a harvest if the farmer’s seeds are plucked from the soil?”
Our democracy was not sown by chance; it grew from the sweat and struggle of countless heroes.it is our duty to protect it with all that we are.
A government that fears its people cannot thrive, and when leaders begin to fear the people’s voices, they lose their right to lead.
“When the lion’s den becomes a prison, even the brave are forced to retreat.” This cannot be the future of our nation.
Malawi deserves a leader who will protect freedom, not cage it. Our young people deserve to dream without fear.
Our elders deserve the peace they once fought for. And every Malawian, whether rich or poor, young or old, deserves the dignity of living without intimidation.
“A bird that allows its nest to be destroyed cannot lay eggs.”
My first mission, when I take the reins of government, is to strengthen our democratic institutions.
A strong democracy is a safe democracy. In this land, we should be able to hold our leaders accountable without fearing repercussions.
This is the promise I make to you, my fellow Malawians: to protect this nation’s soul, to shield our freedoms, and to honor every voice, whether in support or opposition.
“Only a fool rebuilds the prison from which he escaped.” We cannot allow history to repeat itself.
I, Comrade Imraan Jumbe, stand before you as a servant, not as a ruler. I pledge to be a leader who listens, a leader who cherishes our diverse voices, and a leader who protects the freedoms that are our birthright.“
The road to freedom is lit by the flames of courage.” Let us light this path together, for the future of our children and the memory of our ancestors.
In the 2025 elections, let us choose freedom over fear, unity over division, and courage over silence.
Together we will build the nation which we all desires.
