Patricia Kaliati’s grateful message to Malawians following her release

Malawi – In a heartfelt message shared on her Facebook page, UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati expressed deep gratitude to her fellow Malawians for their unwavering support during her recent legal challenges. Addressing her supporters, she highlighted the invaluable encouragement she received from leaders and followers of opposition parties, UTM members, church leaders, and family.

“Fellow Malawians,” Kaliati began, “I want to thank, with all my heart, all the leaders of opposition parties and your followers, UTM party leaders, and all UTM supporters, leaders of various religious groups, my relatives, and all those who stood by me during the challenging time I was in the hands of the police and in court.”

Kaliati continued by acknowledging the strength she drew from the solidarity shown by her supporters, describing it as a source of great comfort during some of her darkest days. “Your unwavering support, encouragement, and presence meant the world to me,” she wrote. “From the darkest times until today when I have been released, you have never ceased to visit and encourage me. Your kindness, prayers, and words of encouragement sustained me.”
