More than 2,127 Malawians have been deported back to Malawi from South Africa over the past two months, according to Malawi’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services. Spokesperson Wellington Chiponde confirmed the development, stating that these individuals were expelled due to violations of South African immigration laws, including the lack of proper travel and work documents.
