President Lazarus Chakwera’s recent public appearances have seen an alarming increase in the number of citizens booing and jeering at his convoy, signaling a growing discontent with his administration. Viral videos from Lilongwe and Chinsapo 2 highlight a frustrated population, openly voicing their dissatisfaction with the current state of governance. Issues like high fuel prices, rising living costs, and unfulfilled promises have fueled public outrage. Political analysts suggest that this visible loss of support could harm Chakwera’s chances for re-election in 2025 unless swift and effective action is taken to address the grievances of the people.
