Activist Bon Kalindo urges Bishop Luke Msusa to stand strong against oppressors

By Burnett Munthali

Renowned activist Bon Kalindo has extended words of encouragement to Bishop Luke Msusa, urging him to remain steadfast in his fight for justice. Kalindo has highlighted the immense challenges of standing up to powerful individuals who use their wealth and influence to suppress the truth.

In a striking revelation, Kalindo claims that the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has allegedly offered financial incentives to various clergy, urging them to hold press briefings to counter Bishop Msusa’s statements regarding Vice President Saulos Chilima’s death. This, he argues, reflects the lengths to which some are willing to go to undermine the truth.

According to Kalindo, while some may possess all the wealth, power, and influence in the world, it is critical to remember that no one is greater than God. He emphasizes that God is not someone with whom anyone can trifle or manipulate.

Kalindo expressed confidence in Bishop Msusa’s ultimate victory in this fight for justice, despite the trials he currently faces. “At the end of it all, you will triumph because your actions align with God’s will. Many are promoting MCP out of greed for financial gain, while you, Bishop, are doing what pleases God,” Kalindo stated.

He condemned those who exploit their positions for personal gain, contrasting them with the Bishop’s unwavering commitment to truth and righteousness.

Kalindo called on the nation to reflect on these events and prioritize divine justice over the pursuit of material wealth and power. “Standing for what is righteous will always lead to a greater reward,” he remarked.

As the nation grapples with political and moral turbulence, Kalindo’s words serve as a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of faith and integrity in the face of oppression.
