By Burnett Munthali
Silver Strikers FC has officially announced the appointment of club legend Peter Mgangira as the Acting Head Coach following the departure of Sir Peter Mponda. Mponda, who had been at the helm of the team for 11 months, stepped down due to personal reasons, and Mgangira, previously the assistant coach, has now been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the team in the interim.
Mgangira’s new role comes with a monthly salary of 5 million Kwacha, along with additional benefits such as a car, free fuel, and a house allowance. His appointment is seen as a strategic move by the club as they continue their search for a permanent head coach.
