Other notable names on the list include businessman and philanthropist Mo Ibrahim, Ghana’s President-Elect John Dramani Mahama, Zimbabwean entrepreneur Strive Masiyiwa, Nigerian entrepreneur Tony Elumelu, and gospel singer Sinach.
RPI lauded Muluzi and the other honorees as “the epitome of African excellence,” acknowledging their integrity, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to Africa’s progress.
Speaking on the recognition, Muluzi described being listed alongside some of the continent’s most inspiring leaders and changemakers as an honor and a humbling experience.
“This is a testament to the values of integrity, accountability, and service that I have upheld throughout my journey,” Muluzi said.
Muluzi, who has played a pivotal role in Malawi’s political and social landscape, has been widely recognized for his commitment to fostering unity, advocating for development, and championing the welfare of Malawians.
The recognition by RPI is expected to further elevate Muluzi’s standing on the international stage, underscoring his contributions to leadership and development in Malawi and beyond.
