Blantyre City South East constituency legislator Sameer Suleman, has described his political arrest as blessings in disguise strengthening him to do more, MCP has finished itself and there will be no MCP after the 16th September, 2025.
Suleman has strongly advised police officers to demonstrate their professionalism by refraining from being used as tools by politicians bearing in mind that no one knows what tomorrow will be, assuring them that DPP is coming to occupy their positions.
Speaking after the court granted him bail on Tuesday, Suleman thanked the court for releasing him saying this is so because the sate failed to give convincing reasons on why he should continue to be in police custody for more than seven days.
“MCP is gone to the eternal peace before elections itself on 16th September, 2025 thanks the court for releasing me,” he said.
Pastor Moses Shumba-the Lion of Judah, has thanked God the Almighty for shaming the devil that Joseph Mwanamvekha and Sameer Suleman are out thanking DPP members for their tiring support spending a night outside police stations guarding the two for their safety.
Shumba has advised MCP members to be ready for arrests after change of government saying today, they are arresting innocent people on drummed up political charges but them will be arrested for real charges and no Malawian will feel mercy on them.
“They are digging the graves for themselves, tomorrow, they will be arrested for real cause and for sure, they will taste prison doors, said Pastor Shumba.
He has lamented over some police officers who have been ordered to leave their duty station in Blantyre with immediate effect for failing to honor orders from the above allegedly for refusing to fire teargases to DPP members who camped outside Blantyre Police station guarding for Suleman’s life.
“It is very sad that these officers are on the road for no offence at all, God who is in heaven will one day reward them for standing together with the suffering Malawians,” said Pastor Shumba.
On his part, Political activist Bon Kalindo has advised Attorney General Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda and NIS Director General Dokani Ngwira to advise MCP that these political arrests and detentions are shaming President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP.
Kalindo said Norman Chisale is set to be arrested and next after him is DPP Secretary General Peter Mukhitho and some activists advising the police to start arresting him first before others claiming that he has taken month’s without being handcuffed.
He has advised President Chakwera and MCP that if it is a plan to remain in government by silencing people particularly those from opposition DPP through political arrests and detentions, they should go back to the drawing board to find another strategy.
