Lusaka, Zambia – In a ceremony held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, the Malawi National women’s football team exploits, Temwa and Tabitha Chawinga, were awarded certificates of recognition by the President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Andrew Kamanga.
The sisters, who are key players for the ‘Scorchers’, Malawi’s national women’s football team, were honoured alongside Zambia’s women football players for their outstanding contributions to the sport.
The recognition ceremony, which took place at the Football House in Lusaka, was a testament to the sisters’ hard work and dedication to the beautiful game.
Temwa and Tabitha Chawinga have been instrumental in the Scorchers success, with their impressive skills and teamwork helping to propel the team to new heights.
Andrew Kamanga, President of the FAZ, praised the Chawinga sisters and their teammates for their commitment to excellence.
