Kabambe’s growing popularity and the struggles of Malawians

By Burnett Munthali

There is one thing that has become increasingly evident during the travels of Dr. Dalitso Kabambe.

Across the country, it is clear that UTM has significantly gained support in both the Northern and Central Regions.

Whenever news spreads that Dr. DK1625 is visiting an area, people gather along the roadsides in large numbers, eager to catch a glimpse of and greet their President.

Unlike other politicians who travel in convoys at dangerously high speeds, flanked by heavy security, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe moves among the people and is welcomed by massive crowds.

The people’s primary request to him is simple: they want a clear development agenda that he will implement starting from September 16 this year.

Malawians are tired of the current situation.

The state of the country has deteriorated, and nothing seems to be functioning properly.

Dr. Kabambe stands out as the only leader who is genuinely serious about addressing the challenges Malawians face.

He takes the time to visit people in their communities, witnessing firsthand the struggles of small-scale traders, the rising cost of goods, and the poor condition of roads.

He visits schools and hospitals, observing with his own eyes the old and crumbling buildings that can barely serve their purpose.

A fundamental question arises: how can a presidential aspirant who claims to want to help Malawians truly understand their real challenges without engaging with them directly?

How can a leader know the dire state of the Nkhotakota-Salima road without traveling on it personally?

Dr. Kabambe’s approach of directly connecting with the people sets him apart, making his leadership style both unique and necessary for the transformation of Malawi.
