A Concerned Moslem has accused Sheikh Sosola of Salima of taking Malawi Congress Party (MCP) politics into Islam during the 2025 Eid Ul-Fitr prayers held at Mchoka Primary School ground in the area of Traditional Authority Ndindi in Salima district.
The Citizen has claimed that what Sheikh Sosola preached on that day is not from the Holy Book of the Quran that “whoever is corrupt is not with them” observing that Sheikh Sosola brought the corrupt people into Islam.
He said Sheikh Sosola is not the spokesperson of the Muslim community in Malawi, if he wanted bags of maize and money, he is free to go to the MCP government, he will be given and not going through Islam that all Muslims in the country are rallying behind President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Speaking through an audio clip, the concerned Moslem has asked Sheikh Sosola that according to the Islam teachings, who to be praised one who is arrested or the killers? Saying Sheikh Sosola was praising the killers while Islam is against the killers.
The Concerned Moslem has advised Sheikh Sosola not to sell Islam for MCP politics, he is free to join frontline politics in the MCP and not Islam joining the MCP describing his campaign to the Muslims as shame to him.
He said the Muslim community have gone through pain and sufferings just the same as other religions in Malawi assuring the MCP government that Malawi has passed 5 years of wastage with no tangible development projects only lies.
“Sheikh Sosola was running away from speaking truth and justice that Malawians are suffering during the reign of President Chakwera more than other presidents who have ruled the country,” said the citizen.
Speaking during the Eid Ul-Fitr prayers in Salima on Monday, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera apologized to the Muslim community and the entire Malawi nation for failing to fulfill his campaign promises attributing this to DPP system of thieving in government.
Chakwera encouraged the Muslim community in Malawi to pray for the nation which is going through challenges after challenges saying him has no solutions but God has, hence Malawian have to pray for God’s interventions for Malawi to be out of crisis after crisis.
And a Malawi Congress Party MCP diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has advised President Chakwera to swallow his pride by accepting publicly that he has failed to run the country in the interest of all.
Kamphangala has reminded the MCP and President Chakwera that Malawians voted for them into power on trust that he will correct DPP mistakes in government observing that DPP is not in government and there’s no reason to point five fingers wrong at the DPP for messing up the country.
