Bakili Muluzi TV, an online Television station has advised the UTM not to wage war with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) over Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s age saying their eyes should be focusing on how to block the devil from bouncing back into government.
Bakili Muluzi TV has reminded the UTM that they should not forget that they were once in the Tonse Alliance government and for the past 4 years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s destruction of the country, they were part, hence they chose to remain quiet in government.
The TV station said this is the time for the UTM to side with those questing for change of government and not the debate of Mutharika’s age that he is aged and as a result, he will fail to run the country reminding Malawians that the youthful Chakwera has brought in untold sufferings in Malawi.
Bakili Muluzi TV has urged Malawians that on the 16th September, 2025 they should vote for experience not the age of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika observing that the youthful President Chakwera seems not know the pain and sufferings the citizens are going through in Malawi.
He said President Chakwera has failed to run the country in the interest of all claiming that if the country has people who are enjoying Chakwera’s leadership are those that are on State House payroll while the rest cannot sing the popular song “BOMA NDILOMWELI SILIKUCHOKA,”
The TV station has claimed that President Chakwera’s failure has been seen through taking people from Nkhotakota, Kasungu, Dedza, Salima, Mchinji and Lilongwe to the State House carrying with them voter registration certificates in exchange for K50,000 cash, MCP zitenjes and T-shirts and a bottle of water.
He has questioned President Chakwera that what is it behind him inviting people coming to the State House in hired busses and trucks carrying with them voter registration cards especially now when the country is going to the General Elections on the 16th September, 2025.
Bakili Muluzi TV said the K50,000s President Chakwera is distributing to the people in a free for all money could have gone towards supporting equally important projects one of it being procuring drugs in the country’s health facilities.
He has reminded President Chakwera that when he took over State House in June 2020, he dismissed from work 225 people working at the State House and these people went to court where a ruling was made in February, 2025 that government has to pay them a total of K1.1 billion for unfair dismissals.
“K67 billion budget allocation to the State House must compensate these fired State House employees and not splashing the K50,000s to those coming with voter registration certificates for scanning at the State House,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
He said the MCP has created hunger in Malawi over its activities procuring fertilizer in a butchery company and pharmacies, and has made prices of essential goods beyond the reach of the poor in Malawi saying this time, they should give no vote to the MCP and President Chakwera. on the 16th September, 2025.
