A Concerned citizen of Malawi Bennedicto Mbewe, has questioned the sentiments that were made by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera that he will rule the country to 2030 that what is it giving him confidence and trust that Malawians will give him the second mandate to 2030?
Mbewe has asked President Chakwera to tell Malawians that what is it he has on his table for Malawians to build trust in him after failing to fulfill the promises made ahead of the 23rd June, 2020 court-sanctioned presidential elections.
He has advised President Chakwera to carefully examine his trust with the Malawians that voted him on trust in June, 2020 if they are still rallying behind him and if not, what has happened to them to lose trust and why he is proudly making sentiments that he will rule the country to 2030.
Speaking through a video clip, Mbewe has asked God of the living and not of the dead to visit President Chakwera for him to come back to his senses that Malawians have lost trust in him and his bouncing back will only please a few of those surrounding him not the entire 20 million plus citizens.
Mbewe has questioned President Chakwera that which Malawians is he going to govern from 2025 to 2030 these frustrated Malawians or other Malawians not visibly seen claiming that if they are these Malawians that have gone through pain and sufferings, they will better be government by trees not a human being.
He said many Malawians in June, 2020 voted for President Chakwera with trust that he will govern the country in the interest of all looking at him as being coming from a church and an ordained Priest, but has proved to Malawians that there is no God in him.
The citizen says with the situation the country is in, maize prices are up beyond the reach of the poor, prices of essential commodities keeping on changing every day, if President Chakwera had wisdom to protect his legacy from destruction, he would have announced his resignation from power but unfortunately, he is not the man.
He said God the Almighty has turned away from President Chakwera for pushing his people into abstract poverty which they have not experienced ever since the dawn of multiparty politics and democracy and he will go down in the history of Malawi as the worst ever President.
“One loaf of bread is being sold at K3,500, one tablet of Nima soap K800, the living conditions under President Chakwera have drastically gone to the grave,” said Mbewe.
He has advised Malawians not to make the second mistake on the 16th September, 2025 to be tempted to vote for Chakwera to bounce back into government arguing that President Chakwera promised to build Malawi from destruction but instead, he has completely destroyed the country and it has gone to the dogs.
