Political activist Bon Kalindo, has condemned in strongest terms possible the attack the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) youth operatives made on DPP members in Mponela in Dowa district on their way back from addressing a rally in Ntchisi district.
Kalindo said the attack is coming after the police held prayers at the Police headquarters –Area 30 for God to give them strength so that they provide maximum security to each and every political party in the country ahead of the 16th September, 2025 elections.MCP youth operative ambushes DPP members torched bus in Mponela
He said the attack has come also after Malawi Police Inspector General Madam Yolamu assured political parties youth directors that she is with them in matters of security describing the prayers and assurance as only fooling God.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is planning evil things in Malawi saying they know that people do not want them to be in government and they will use whatever means including bloodshed to remain in government.Agabus Mwang’onda speaks out: “MCP, leave us alone!” – A call for political tolerance in Mponela
Kalindo said the shooting of a DPP bus in Mponela should be a wake-up call to opposition parties to work together for one unity of purpose claiming that the MCP is doing all of what it can to remain in government through Smartmatic machines and not the people’s vote.
“If opposition parties allow the Smartmatic machines to work in Malawi, they are all dead and they should not cry tomorrow that MCP has rigged the elections,” he said.
And on his part, a concerned Malawian Bishop Kachenje, has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to accept that he has failed to run the country claiming that Malawians are regretting to have him as their president.Chakwera Calls for Unity, Condemns Tribal Politics and Violence in Malawi
Bishop Kachenje said churches, church organizations, CSOs, freedom fighters and activists in Malawi are all against President Chakwera assuring him that he has de-campaigned himself through planting MCP orchestrated youth operatives to kill people.
He has assured the MCP that the terror they have started will not be finished saying every Malawian is angry and ready to die for the country until such a time that the country is liberated from the hands of President Chakwera.Limpopo FM calls Malawians forget MCP arresting its thugs
“MCP youth operatives have graduated from phanga wielding to gun shootings, speaking for itself that MCP is ready to be killing people in Malawi,” said Bishop Kachenje.
He said President Chakwera has made Malawians suffering through skyrocketing prices of essential goods, man-made hunger and rampant corruption in his government assuring him that the K50,000s he is splashing at the State House will not buy rigging votes.
