PDP Leader Kondwani Nankhumwa Attends Funeral of Late Councillor Agness Chembezi in Nkhata Bay

People from various parts of the country gathered on Thursday, 15th May 2025, at Zayuka Village in the area of Traditional Authority Fukamalaza in Nkhata Bay District to pay their last respects to the late Councillor Agness Chembezi.

The late Chembezi served as the councillor for Sanga Ward in the district and was a dedicated member of the People’s Development Party (PDP).

The funeral ceremony was a solemn occasion, drawing together family, friends, and political representatives who came to honour her contributions to her community and political party.

PDP leader Kondwani Nankhumwa was among the mourners who attended the burial, offering his support to the bereaved family and party members.

In his presence, the funeral took on a national tone, underscoring the significance of Chembezi’s role not only at a local level but also within the party’s broader structure.

Chembezi was remembered for her tireless service to the people of Sanga and her commitment to grassroots development.

Her passing marks a great loss to the PDP and the community she diligently served.
