Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, has expressed his grave disappointments over opposition leaders who are casting and insulting fellow opposition leaders with only two months to go before the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Kalua said this could be the time for opposition leaders to be telling their supporters what they will do if voted into power other than insulting and castigating fellow opposition leaders describing this as primitive politics without a future.
He has asked opposition leaders what is it they have on their agenda that Malawians will vote for them after insulting and castigating fellow opposition leaders warning them that if they don’t stop this type of politics, they must forget to rule the country.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua has asked Malawians of Balaka, Mangochi, Machinga, and Zomba that are they happy to see an opposition party leader castigating and insulting fellow opposition party leaders for them to advance in their political ambitions?
Kalua said he already noticed signs of broken walls of the opposition parties after it was alleged that some of the young opposition party leaders have pocketed billions of Kwachas to destabilize opposition parties from 15th June, 2025.
He said his prophecy has come to pass to see to it that some of the opposition party leaders are working around the clock to bring misunderstandings, confusions and mistrust among opposition leaders themselves.
The Freedom fighter said he worked with the late John Tembo in the opposition parties but at no time he castigated and insulted fellow opposition party leaders as a passport to enter government, saying all the opposition parties were working as one beside having different ideologies.
He said at one time the late John Tembo took over from Gwanda Chakuamba to become Leader of Opposition in Parliament but, he did not have time to insult and castigate Chakuamba because they were all in opposition parties.
Kalua said it is sad that young people who should have learnt how their opposition political ancestors were living are the ones destroying the hard won democracy in Malawi by destabilize fellow opposition parties under the influence of money received from a party in government.
“Dr. Bakili Muluzi was in government but he did not insult opposition party leaders apart from telling that their parties will end like curtains on the wall,” said Kalua.
He said these young opposition leaders are receiving money secretly to advance their political agendas so that people lose trust in opposition leaders that they should not be voted into government advising them to love Malawi over money.
The Freedom fighter has challenged these young opposition party leaders that Malawians are in hunger crisis, sleeping with empty stomachs and have no hope for a better tomorrow saying these people need liberation and not siding with government which is bringing in untold sufferings to them.
He has advised young opposition leaders to be cool, there time is coming for them to be leaders but if they continue insulting fellow opposition party leaders, God above, will punish them and their dreams of becoming the county’s leaders, will only be a dream not come true.
