A voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has given UDF President Atupele Muluzi a simple free piece of advice to go ahead with his plan of making an alliance with the MCP, take the money, and appear on the same campaign stages.
Comrade Jumbe says when the dust settles, he will come back to tell the nation what he found there in the MCP alliance, saying that is, only if he will be lucky enough to come back alive both politically and personally.
He says this is not hatred, not jealousy saying this is Malawi speaking to him, the voice of history screaming from the graves of betrayed alliances and forgotten Comrades, advising him to ignore it at his own peril.
Writing on his face book page, Comrade Jumbe says Atupele Muluzi is standing today at the crossroads of history driven by the thirst for quick riches and the dangerous desire for shortcuts to power-eyeing the running mate position.
Comrade Jumbe says Atupele is a man who sells himself cheaply in the market should not cry when bought by a butcher reminding him that Malawi has warned him, the people have spoken loudly, clearly, and repeatedly, he seems determined to ignore the voice of reasons.
He says Atupele has forgotten the lessons written by blood and tears on the pages of the country’s history, wishing him a go ahead, receive the silver coins, shake hands with the MCP, sell the soul of the UDF to the highest bidder-the MCP, saying he will end in tears.
The voiceless citizen says if the MCP had an ounce of gratitude, patriotism, or love for its political partners, the hero they would have celebrated, would have been the late Dr. Saulosi Chilima saying it was SKC who fought tooth and nail for MCPs return to power.
He says the late Dr. Chilima campaigned with energy that shook the nation, his charisma, and his eloquence became the ladder on which President Chakwera climbed into the State House saying he travelled every corner of this country so that Tonse Alliance would win, when power was won, how was he repaid?
“Where were you Atupele when SKC was repaid, where were you when SKC was repaid with public insults on podiums by the same MCP which he helped, and where were you when Chakwera and the MCP hijacked the entire government machinery and kicked out all alliance partners? Questioned Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.
Comrade Jumbe says Atupele has become a political trader-auctioning himself and his party like a sack of maize at the market saying history should teach him that those who dine with the devil must use a long spoon.
He has finally reminded Atupele of MCP politics as Eisenhower Mkaka once shamelessly declared that they do politics at night, it’s the game they play best saying Atupele may think that he is joining hands, but he is only extending his neck.
