Silver Strikers have officially confirmed the departure of their star midfielder Chimwemwe Idana, who is expected to join Zanaco FC, a top-tier football club in Zambia.
Idana, who signed with the Central Bankers in 2023 from Tanzania’s Mbeya FC, leaves behind a remarkable legacy. In just over a year at the club, he helped Silver Strikers clinch the TNM Super League title and earned individual glory by being named the Player of the Season in 2024.
His final appearance for Silver was nothing short of fitting, as he starred in their 3-1 victory over Karonga United. Idana capped off his Silver career by being named Man of the Match, a testament to his consistency and impact on the pitch.
