A Concerned Citizen of Malawi residing in Area 51- Lilongwe Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has described Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s out from a cocoon as blessings in disguise to those that escorted him to an early grave to see him resurrected from the dead.
Kaliza has claimed that many people especially from the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) wished Professor Mutharika dead by today for the DPP to go to the 16th September, 2025 elections without a presidential candidate, but God has added another 15 years of life to Mutharika as the story of Hezekiah in the Bible.
She said many Malawians have been advocating for youth leadership to run Malawi forgetting that the same youth leadership under President Chakwera has destroyed the country up to an extent of funding thugs to be hacking and terrorizing people armed with panga knives.
The Citizen has observed that Malawians are regretting today to have voted for a wrong person into government in june, 2020 on the argument that had they allowed Professor Mutharika and the DPP to continue ruling the country, the country and its people could not have seen what they are seeing under President Chakwera.
Kaliza said many Malawians are sleeping with empty stomachs and have no hope for a better tomorrow claiming that hunger could have been avoided if the MCP led government under President Chakwera was doing justice to its people.
She said there have been stories of fertilizer being procured in a butchery, and pharmacies, observing that billions of Kwachas were lost, the money entered into the crooked pockets of individuals in the MCP camp leaving the country and its citizens poor.
The citizen has claimed that everywhere President Chakwera is going for his campaign trails, he is being told that hunger is biting people hard beside them being hard workers in their fields describing this as a worrisome development from food security under the DPP to food insecurity under the MCP government.
She said on a sad note, President Chakwera is still attributing all the challenges the country is facing to Covid-19 pandemic, Tropical Cyclones and other natural disasters including DPP thieving in government but at no time, he has accepted that thieving by individual members of the MCP in government, has destroyed the country.
“The country cannot continue attributing to Covid-19, Russia- Ukraine war as some of the challenges rocking development projects in President Chakwera’s 5 years in office while there is rampant corruption and thieving in government,’ said Kaliza.
She said if President Chakwera was ruling the country in the interest of all, no one would have talked of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s coming back to power saying all this is coming from Chakwera’s failed leadership.
Kaliza has appealed to registered voters in Malawi to vote for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika claiming that Mutharika has the welfare of the people at heart as compared to President Chakwera who has closed his ears from listening to the cries of the suffering Malawians.
