On August 22, 2025, Justice Dr. Jane Ansah took a brief pause from her ongoing whistle-stop campaign tour in Chitipa District.
She attended the National Annual Men’s Conference held at Chitipa Secondary School, where community leaders and residents had gathered.
Before Justice Dr. Ansah addressed the gathering, Hon. Sameer Suleiman, the National Organizing Secretary, took the stage to deliver part of the opening speech.
During his remarks, Hon. Suleiman emphasized the strong alignment between the Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) leadership and the message of hope and stability being promoted across the country.
He highlighted that DPP’s proven leadership under Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) remains central to the party’s vision for national development and local governance.
Suleiman’s remarks set the tone for Justice Dr. Ansah’s address, framing the gathering as an important moment to reinforce voter confidence in the party’s leadership.
Justice Dr. Ansah then took the stage, engaging with the attendees and emphasizing the party’s commitment to delivering on its promises.
She reiterated that APM represents experience, stability, and a track record of effective governance, underscoring the campaign slogan: #APM is the Ansah.
Her address highlighted the importance of community engagement and the role of civic participation in shaping Malawi’s political future.
The event served not only as a platform for campaign messaging but also as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the party leadership and the grassroots.
Concluding Analysis
Justice Dr. Jane Ansah’s participation in the National Men’s Conference demonstrates the DPP’s strategy of combining grassroots engagement with targeted messaging to consolidate support ahead of the September 16, 2025 elections.
By pausing her whistle-stop tour to address a local but influential audience, she reinforced the narrative of experienced leadership and governance continuity under APM.
The conference also highlights the party’s efforts to mobilize key demographics, such as men in rural districts, who play a pivotal role in voter turnout and influence.
Ultimately, events like this reflect how DPP integrates community outreach with campaign messaging to maintain visibility, boost voter confidence, and secure crucial constituencies in northern Malawi.
