When spiders unite, they can tie down a lion.” But today, our opposition leaders have failed to weave even single web.
However struggle is not lost. A second remedy lies before us. If opposition leaders will not unite at the table, then the people themselves must unite at the ballot.
Every Malawian should vote freely for their preferred opposition candidate—not out of fear, not out of tribal allegiance, but out of conviction.
When enough opposition votes are cast, the MCP’s power will be paralyzed.
Let us remember: “It does not matter whether the cat is black or white; what matters is that it catches the rat.”
Our concern is not the color of the party flag, nor the name of the candidate. What matters is victory for the people and defeat for oppression and the defeat of mafiesto system of governance.
If one opposition candidate secures a clear majority, then the nation will rejoice.
But if no outright winner emerges, then comes the true test of loyalty. In the re-run,every opposition leader must be measured by their actions, not their speeches.
Those who genuinely serve the people will rally behind the strongest candidate to finish the journey.

Those who betray the cause by siding with MCP will expose themselves as enemies of the people—wolves in sheep’s clothing, fattened by thirty pieces of silver.
Malawi’s future does not belong to political party leaders nor to selfish ambitions. It belongs to the youth, the farmers, the workers, the mothers, and the dreamers who believe that this land can rise again.
The river may twist and turn, but it always finds its way to the sea. So too shall our struggle, if we stand firm together.
This is the moment to act with courage, with vision, and with unity of purpose. September is not just an election—it is a battlefield between freedom and bondage.
If we waste it, we betray the blood, sweat, and tears of generations who prayed for a better Malawi.
Let us rise as one. Let us vote with wisdom. Let us prepare for unity in the re-run. And let us remember: “A tree standing alone cannot make a forest.” Only together can we end the long night and usher in the dawn of a new Malawi.
