Nkhotakota, Malawi – Vice President and Odya Zake Alibe Mulandu party leader, Dr. Michael Usi, has urged Malawians to cast their votes wisely in the upcoming September 16 general elections, saying the current government is gripped by confusion and poor governance.
Speaking at Mkaika/Mwansambo Turn Off trading center in Nkhotakota District during a series of campaign stopovers along the Lakeshore, Dr. Usi emphasized that Malawians deserve a government that delivers on their expectations.
“If Malawians vote for me to become president, they will witness the Malawi they have always been waiting for,” Dr. Usi declared, stressing his vision for national transformation.
Good Relations With President Chakwera
Dr. Usi also highlighted his cordial relationship with current President Lazarus Chakwera, assuring voters that he would treat him with dignity if elected.
“My relationship with the president is good, and if I win, I will take care of him as a retired leader,” he said.
Campaign Tour in Lakeshore Districts

The Vice President has already held several rallies in Salima District and is expected to extend his campaign to more areas in Nkhotakota and Dwangwa as part of his Lakeshore and Northern Region tour.
His campaign message continues to focus on leadership accountability, national unity, and the promise of a better Malawi under his presidency.
