Former President of the Republic of Malawi who is also DPP leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, has registered his concern over K1 billion forex which he left at the State House that all of this money has been eaten by the MCP and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at nobody’s care.

Mutharika has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to start packing up his belongings saying time for renting at the State House is finishing on 16th September and on the 17th September, 2025 proven leadership is coming to the State House.

He said he is coming to the State House to remove all the nonsense happenings that has reduced the honor the State House has to the general public describing all these as useless saying proven leadership will sweep away all these things.

Speaking during his whistle-stops campaign meetings in the Eastern Region districts of Mangochi and Machinga on Saturday, Mutharika urged registered voters to mobilize one another so that on the 16th September, 2025 they vote for proven leadership.

Mutharika advised voters that they should take seriously their vote unlike in June, 2020 when they voted wrongly and realize that they made a big mistake of voting into power someone who has no experience in the running of government.

He assured Malawians that if is voted into power on the 16th September, 2025 no one in Malawi will be eating wild bushes (Chitedze), and Nyika as food for their survival reminding Malawians that in his DPP leadership from 2014 to 2019 no Malawian died of hunger.

The former President said in the DPP 2025 manifesto, money will be transferred from Lilongwe to District Councils and constituencies for them to plan for the infrastructural development projects to be implemented at the district level- Decentralization.

“Money allocated to the councils and constituencies will be used for building classroom blocks, toilets, health centres, and employing people at the district level,” said Mutharika.

DPP National Organizing Secretary Sameer Suleman, said he has been visiting southern and northern region districts claiming that Professor Mutharika is receiving overwhelming support assuring DPP members and supporters that Mutharika will win the election with 65 percent of the votes accounted.

Suleman appealed to people who have no hope for a better tomorrow, people worrying with fertilizer prices which currently is being sold at K170,000, people who are sleeping with empty stomachs, people praying for food and fertilizer to be available that time is now, vote for Professor Mutharika- he has the answers.
