In a heart-warming display of kindness and commitment to community service, Catherine Mzumara, the UTM party vice president for the Northern region and aspiring parliamentary candidate for Mzimba North, has paid the tuition fees for Mercy Jere, a talented but needy student from Embombeni in Mzimba district.

Her selfless act has paid off, as Mercy has now graduated as a qualified teacher.

Mzumara’s gesture is a testament to her dedication to continued giving back to the community, despite losing the parliamentary race in 2019.
