
President Lazarus Chakwera has dissolved all cabinet ministries

In a letter, the Office of the President and Cabinet stated that Chakwera has done this in accordance with the powers vested in him and Section 92, subsection 2 of the country’s Constitution.
Mutharika Says Chakwera Has Failed Malawians Miserably
As a result, according to the letter, all executive powers of the government ministries are now vested in the Head of State.
Legal experts we spoke to this week said the law obliges the Head of State to dissolve the cabinet when the country is heading into an election.
