🔹 1. Former Malawi President Dr. Joyce Banda has received the African Champions Award from the Asia-Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) – Asia Chapter during this year’s Africa Walk held in Abeokuta, Nigeria. She attended the event at the invitation of Platform Capital in collaboration with AACCI.

🔹 2. A 49-year-old fuel tanker driver, Regson Kawerama, died in a road accident in Chiradzulu District after he lost control of the tanker shortly after passing the Cham’dimbo stretch. The vehicle overturned and caught fire.
🔹 3. The body of social media personality Misheck Nkhoma, popularly known as Bolo, was laid to rest yesterday at his home village in Balaka. Bolo Young died in hospital in South Africa, where he had been receiving treatment following injuries sustained in a road accident.

🔹 4. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have been eliminated from the Airtel Top 8 after losing 7-6 on penalties to Ekhaya FC following a 1-1 draw. In Lilongwe, Blue Eagles advanced to the semi-finals after drawing 1-1 with Civil Service United, having drawn 0-0 in the first leg at home.

🔹 7. One of Malawi’s top footballers, Khuda Muyaba, has signed a two-year contract with Masters FC. Muyaba had been without a club for several months, although speculation linking him with Masters FC first emerged about five months ago.
🔹 8. England and Argentina (today’s result) have qualified for the semi-finals. England defeated Norway 2-1, while Argentina beat Switzerland 2-1. England will face Argentina on Wednesday, while France will take on Spain on Tuesday.
🔹 9. According to The Sun, England manager Thomas Tuchel has told Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and the rest of the squad that they are free to spend time with their partners, including having sex, but they should avoid doing so on match day.
