Bakili Muluzi TV online station says Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika needs 205,841 votes while Dr. Lazarus Chakwera needs 1.6 million votes to reach 50 +1 majority win in the last remaining 12 districts to claim victory.
The television station has claimed that in districts such as Blantyre, Mangochi, Ntcheu, Phalombe, Lilongwe Rural, Mchinji, Nkhatabay, Dedza , Chiladzulu, Karonga and Kasungu, Professor Mutharika is expected to get over 600,000 votes.
He said Blantyre, Mangochi, Chiladzulu, Ntcheu and Phalombe, Professor Mutharika can get the required votes and these votes will be added with those he will get from central region districts and those in the northern region.
The activist said the very big question will be; where will President Chakwera get over 1.6 million votes to claim victory to match with what MCP supporters are demonstrating and celebrating that MCP and President Chakwera has won the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Bakili Muluzi TV has asked all MCP members and supporters that are celebrating victory with Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba and Dr. Jessie Kabwila for President Chakwera under the banner “We got it,” to accept the results of the elections that MCP and President Chakwera have lost the elections.
He said accepting defeat in an urgently manner will be remembered in the history of Africa and the whole world reminding the MCP that Kamuzu Banda accepted defeat to Dr. Bakili Muluzi in 1994 while the votes were still being counted and no wonder, Kamuzu was a statesman.
“You will lose nothing by accepting defeat, Kamuzu Banda, Bakili Muluzi, Dr. Joyce Banda accepted for peace to prevail and for the country to move forward,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
Business entrepreneur Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira has claimed that some top MCP gurus have started leaving MCP WhatsApp groups advising MCP supporters and those sponsoring them to go to the streets that it is better accepting defeat for peace than inciting political violence.
“I am advising you all to stay away from violence which are being organized by the MCP, the protests are time wasting, nothing will change, victory is going to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika,” he said.
Meanwhile, a concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has thanked the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) for taking over security of the country from Malawi Police Service (MPS) as it is being observed in Lilongwe, saying the police have lost trust in the eyes of Malawians for 5 years of President Chakwera and his MCP siding with terror.
Kaliza has pleaded with MDF soldiers to arrest suspects dressed in Army uniforms who beat up party monitors at Ngwenya school polling station in Lilongwe and all MCP phanga wielding thugs who have been terrorizing and hacking innocent citizens in Malawi.
